9 Awesome days with LING

1. SCS Graduation

Ling finally has a long holiday after graduating as a sergeant from the combat engineer course. Now he gets more nights out and is able to take leave more often. Since its like that i would be able to spend more time with him which is AWESOME!! Anyway, im so proud of him because he complained so much of the hardships he had to go through as well as how much he would like to quit, but he still managed to pull through. Also proud of Ron and Jinmy who went through all the hardships in infantry.

even though i look fat but still:)

the small boy that graduated as well

The fatty that graduated :)

2. Christmas party @ church

Everyone expects church parties to be all holy , with everyone just praying and worshiping God but its not the case. Its just a big group of people just celebrating a special occasion. Even though i haven't been attending church as much as i would like but it was still nice. Especially when i had my dear friends and ling there with me. There was a huge buffet and even a lucky draw.
Last year i won a rice cooker and everyone was teasing me saying that i will win another household appliance. In the end i really won an iron! everyone kept laughing at me saying that i have a fate of being a house-wife...

MY IRON!!

3. Christmas eve

We were racking our brains on what to do for Christmas eve and decided to go to Gardens By the Bay. It was totally impromptu and ended up to be a really fun date. The highlight was definitely the cloud tower! there was a huge waterfall right at the entrance and the place was really cooling. You could also walk all the way to the top and see the view from the top of the waterfall. It was amazing. However, it was beyond tiring, the place was so huge and you had to walk the whole way. Ling kept sitting down whenever he could and after walking half of the park, i wanted to go back so badly.

the photo was so nice but it was photobombed

being tourist-y and checking out the gift shop! this costs 10 bucks btw

4. Christmas

Just a simple dinner for two which i managed to cook!!!:)) I was really proud of myself for being able to cook this dinner. even though there were some hiccups and it was really simple. But for someone who rarely cooks and always burn stuff to cook this meal, it was a miracle.

5. New Year

the rest of the days were spent with simple outings like shopping and watching movies. However, it was still fun and the most important thing was the time spent.
On the last day of the year, we went to LoLa's cafe and went home to countdown to the new year.It was sort of a mellow way to celebrate 2014 but i hated squeezing through crowds and going through the hassle of flagging a cab.It was still really fun and we watched the marina bay countdown on TV and even played along with the MC. (like waving our hands and clapping). Thank you for celebrating all this special occasions with me and thank you for the times that we had this year. Here is to many more years ahead.
